Irish Examiner – This philanthropist hopes to provide glasses to 2.5bn people with poor vision

The “largest unaddressed disability” in the world – poor vision – can be solved in the next 20 years, a billionaire philanthropist has said. James Chen believes the technology exists to get glasses to everyone in the world who needs them, and is already taking steps towards it through a non-government organisation (NGO) he founded.
